Last week I found out that my girlfriend's daughter, Dotsie, was tragically killed in a car accident on November 4. I had watched this little girl grow into an independent young women, full of life and starting a family(3 months along). Then she was just gone.
I visited with my girlfriend, Denene, for four hours on Thursday and all she could say was she was numb. I called to check on her on Saturday and she was doing better. The funeral is this Saturday with a benefit concert afterwards. The whole accident is still under investigation and so no one's insurance is paying yet and Denene is just lost.
Denene is strong though, she does not blame God. She understands that her daughter was a blessing that God gave her and now he has called Dotsie back for his purpose. I hope that I would be that strong if he called my boys back early.
